Sandy Geroux

Ms. Geroux is a former salesperson and award-winning top producer who became a national speaker, trainer and author in 2000. With over 27 years of speaking and training experience, Sandy delivers customized motivational programs to help organizations achieve breakthrough performance in customer service, employee motivation and engagement, and personal and professional productivity. She is a member of the National Speakers Association (NSA), 2008-2009 President for the Central Florida Chapter of NSA, and has previously held the positions of Vice President of Programs and Dean of the Speakers’ Academy for that Chapter. Cindy Krosky, CSP, LCSW
Cindy Krosky, President of Achieving Corporate Excellence, Inc., is a highly skilled presenter and expert on how people work together, presenting no less than 200 programs a year. Her diversity of knowledge, experiences, and understanding of group dynamics enrich her ability to influence the way people work together. She uses her expertise to assist organizations in developing leadership and team skills so that they may discover ways to increase productivity. Her interactive programs are engaging, fun, and provide the audience with practical, easy to apply information.
She is a Certified Speaking Professional (CSP), the highest earned designation in the International Federation of Professional Speakers and in the National Speakers Association. Her areas of expertise are many. She is a Human Resource Certification Institute Provider (HRCI), Adventure-Based Trainer, Facilitator, Educator, Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Consultant, and Critical Incident Stress Manager, with Specialization in Corporate Workplace Violence, as well as Domestic Terrorism and Weapons of Mass Destruction. Ms. Krosky is the author of books covering topics from success, team building, leadership, motivation, and parenting.
David Bloodgood, PhD.
David Bloodgood’s first contact with Old Time Photos was in summer 1969, when he helped set up one of the first contemporary old time photo operations on Cape Cod. He opened his first studio in Solvang, California, in 1973, and the first theme park studio at Universal studios in 1975, ultimately owning more than a dozen studios around the country. From 1976 to 1990, became a supplier of mats, costumes, and supplies for more than 1,500 studios, and trained dozens of studio operators across the United States and abroad. He is the author of Secrets of the Old Time Photo Business and The Boudoir Photo Book and associated materials.
Returning to school in 1992, Dr. Bloodgood received a master’s degree in mental health therapy and a PhD. in sex therapy. A favorite of AAPI members, he was a featured speaker at the 1997 AAPI Convention, and the keynote speaker at the 1999 AAPI, and continues to this day to follow the progress of the Old Time Photo industry.

Chip Weiner
With over 15 years’ experience in adult education and over 20 years behind the lens, Chip Weiner will present two photography workshops, Lighting & Posing and Take Your Camera Off Automatic, at the 2012 AAPI Convention.
Mr. Weiner is a professional commercial photographer and freelance photojournalist working in the TampaBay area. In addition to owning his own photography company, he teaches beginner and intermediate courses at the Florida Museum of Photographic Arts, and leads on-location photo shoots designed to expose students to target rich environments such as the Florida Strawberry Festival and the downtown Tampa area.
In addition to the workshops he will present, Mr. Weiner will serve as the instructor of a special Streetcar Photo Safari on the evening before the convention. Day Before the Convention Activities
AAPI University
If you are new to the industry or looking for a refresher in Old Time Photo basics for you or your staff, plan to join us from 9 A.M. to 1 P.M. on Monday, January 30, for AAPI University classes. These classes, taught by AAPI veterans recognized as professionals in the industry, will consist of overviews of the following topics, with time for questions from attendees. AAPI “U” is $25 per person for convention attendees.

Thinking outside the box
Photoshop®
Back by popular request, AAPI will hold a Photoshop class from 1:30 P.M. to 3 P.M. Although anyone can benefit from the tips learned in this class, the class is recommended for beginner to intermediate users. Cost of this 90 minute class is $10 per person for convention attendees, waived if the attendee is enrolled in AAPI “U.”
Streetcar Photo Safari
From 6 P.M. to 8:30 P.M. on Monday, January 30, Chip Weiner will lead a Streetcar Photo Safari. A streetcar ride into Ybor City will bring you to the lights, architecture, and wonderful elements of Ybor Square and 7th Avenue. Capture the beauty of downtown night life while learning and enhancing your night/low light photography and cityscape skills with direction from an expert. If interested, please register early, as class size is limited to 15 people. Cost of class is $50 per person which includes streetcar fare.
